God's mercies are new everyday! Pain drives us to seek solutions. This is why God allows us to undergo suffering and 'pain', so that we can realise that we need help, and that only God can help! It also humbles us, so that He can give us Grace.

Suffering brings about repentance, and this is why suffering is merciful.
