Lion Heart ENCOURAGE - Made in His Image

Hey man of God! What a profound statement. 'In HIS Image'. It’s a reality that we scarcely understand or grasp. Yet, it’s a reality that will completely and utterly transform us from the inside out!

Encouragement:

Genesis 1:26 ESV Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

This was God’s intention. We are God’s intended creation. With form, function and purpose. All in God’s own words!

You, as a man, are His intended creation. ‘Male and Female, HE created them’. It isn’t a mistake. It wasn’t by accident. You are created as a man for a purpose designed by God.

There is a fight on to convince you otherwise. To tell you that being a man is negative, to tell you that being masculine is a problem. To lie to you about who you are. But those are lies.

As a Godly man you have a specific role. A specific calling.  I believe that to know this calling, to know this purpose, to be even remotely ready for this purpose, we first need to have the reality of ‘in His Image’ dawn on us. It is not a reality that can quickly be transferred to us, like installing a program on a computer, or like downloading an app on your phone. No. It is a fact, a reality that only comes from the gentle rain of His presence drifting down on us, day after day after day after day. Year in and Year out.

You see, sin corrupted everything. Even your brain, your wiring, your self-image. Everything. Sin’s effects go far far deeper that what we can imagine. BUT, His redeeming work on the cross, His transformative work also goes far far beyond what we can think or even imagine.

To be a man in God’s image, let’s spend time in His word to be redeemed and transformed. Let’s spend time in the rain of His presence. So that the corrupted nature can be redeemed and restored for His Glorious purpose.

Prayer Request:

Brothers, please start preparing the ground in prayer for this years first Lion Heart – EXCITE. Pray that God will draw us in, that God will prepare our hearts, and prepare us for what he has in-store for us this year at Lion Heart EXCITE.
