Lion Heart ENCOURAGE – Superhero NO MORE

Introduction:

You've seen the movies. The cape billows…the music swells, our hero arrives in a blaze of glory, solves the impossible in ninety seconds flat, and vanishes into the stratosphere. The world is saved. The day is won. Credits roll.

But here's the truth that nobody puts on screen: ‘that's not real life and that’s not a real hero.’

Encouragement:

A real superhero doesn't wear a cape. He wears a work shirt, a dad hat, or sometimes just yesterday's t-shirt. He doesn't arrive with fanfare—he's already there. He was there yesterday. He'll be there tomorrow. He shows up at 6 AM to share breakfast. He shows up at 3 PM to watch your sports game. He shows up at 9 PM to listen to the day's stories, even when he's exhausted.

Being a real-life superhero Dad isn't about grand gestures it's about outstanding faithfulness, it's about doing the ordinary things extraordinarily well.

Reading from the bible at dinner every night, answering the same questions over and over again, showing up to the weekly soccer games, and always, ALWAYS, being present for the same bedtime routine. Not because it's dramatic, but because it matters. They matter.

Your consistency is the superpower your kids deeply need.

The movies celebrate the rescue. But real life celebrates the dad who's simply there day after day, without fail, without needing applause. This is the real strength: showing up when it's boring. Being faithful when nobody's watching. Doing the small things supernaturally well.

But let’s take a moment to shift our focus to the ALMIGHTY. The self-existent one. The author of all life. YHWH. Glorious. Wonderful. Beautiful. Holy Holy Holy. So so so so far above anything we can imagine. Seriously, have you tried to wrap your mind around Him? Impossible.

He is SUPER EVERYTHING. Absolutely so so far above every name that is named or will be named. He is to be Praise. He is beyond worthy! Behold Him.

As we contemplate the attributes of a Dad that are more valuable that wearing a cape and arriving with theatrical music, we see these lasting qualities in our God’s nature. He is after all the OG ABBA.

He is Super-Faithful:

  • Deuteronomy 7:9        God keeps His covenant and mercy for those who love Him.

  • 2 Timothy 2:13             Even if we are faithless, He remains faithful.

  • Psalm 36:5                     God's faithfulness reaches to the skies.

  • Hebrews 10:23            We can hold unswervingly to the hope we profess because God is faithful.

Every sun rise, every wave of the sea, every 9,192,631,770 periods of the cesium atom declares the faithfulness of our God.

Let’s be changed into that image.

He is Super-Consistent:

  • Hebrews 13:8                Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

  • James 1:17                     Every good gift and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.

He would rock up at EVERY ball game.

He is Super-Involved:

  • Psalm 139:1-4              God knows us intimately—our thoughts and actions.

  • Matthew 10:29-31      Even the hairs on our head are numbered; we are very valuable to Him.

  • Jeremiah 29:11            God has plans for our welfare and future, giving us hope.

Isn’t it just so comforting to know that our God is so Good. I mean Good!! So Good.

Let’s seek His face, His glory, so that we are transformed into His likeness day by day!

This is really the starting point of being a better Dad. Just spend time with the Original ABBA.

Bless you Guys!

Love,

Stanley
